How can I begin the process creating my GP study website?
a. Open: www.weebly.com
b. Create an account or login to your account. Use your school email address.
c. Create and record a password you will not forget. Do NOT use your PIN.
d. Choose PERSONAL SITE.
e. Edit your site.
f. Choose any theme (you’ll change the theme, later).
g. PUBLISH YOUR SITE.
h. You now need a URL. You MUST make your site title in this form:
www.nphsfirstnamelastinitial.weebly.com
i. IMPORTANT. Choose the SUBDOMAIN - NOT domain.
j. Go to your Outlook email.
k. Download the file I emailed to you.
l. Go to the “Theme” tab on your website editor.
m. Select “Change Theme,” and in the upper right of the next screen select “Import Theme.”
n. A box will open. Drag the downloaded file into the box (usually at the bottom of your screen).
o. In the screen that opens, select “Choose” the theme and then confirm the change.
How can I properly format my GP study website?
a. Delete ALL items from your new Home page.
b. Go to the “Pages” tab, select Home page, and change the header to NONE.
c. Select each the of remaining pages and delete them (NOT your Home page).
d. Under “Pages” in the top left find the “plus” button. Choose “Standard” and “No Header.” Add the following pages:

Country Study
General Paper Study Area
Literature Study Area
Theme Study
Learning Sharing Page
e. Change the title of your (website) page (top left) to “General Paper.”
f. Go to the “Build” tab and select “Home” page. This page should be completely blank.
g. On the left, grab “Title” and drag onto the page.
h. Grab “Image” and drag BELOW the text.
i. Repeat two/three times for Title, Image, Title, Image, Title, Image, Title.
j. IMPORTANT: on ALL remaining pages, ADD ONLY THE “TITLE” AND “TEXT.”
k. Next, go to the “Settings” tab. Then, select “SEO.” About halfway down the page find the button for “Hide site from search engines” and TURN IT ON. Important – you must select “SAVE” at the bottom of page.
l. Go to the “Theme” tab and select “Change Fonts.”
m. Select “Paragraph Titles” and change the size to 19 and change the color to black.
n. Select “Paragraph Text” and change the size to 15 and change the color to black.
o. PUBLISH YOUR SITE.
p. OPEN your “URL” (website) and make sure the changes appear.
How can I add all my content to GP study website?
a. Open your Word document for daily language and copy all the information and paste into “Daily” on your website.
b. REPEAT FOR 1SPECIFICINTERESTAREA.
c. REPEAT FOR 3GENERALPAPERSTUDYAREA.
d. Make a decision about your Selected Study Country and type the name of the country on that page.
e. CHANGE YOUR URL LINKS:
- Type the words “Article Link.”
- Copy your current article URL.
- Highlight the words “Article Link” and choose the LINK icon in the toolbar.
- Paste to the Website Link and hit enter.
- Delete the old link.
f. Clean up all entries by deleting extra spaces.
IMPORTANT: How can I “give” my website URL to Mr. Shoop?
a. On the class website, go to “Class Submission.”
b. Choose your period.
c. CAREFUL:
- Open your published website.
- Make sure you are on the “Home” page.
- Click on the search bar at top and copy your URL.
- Paste your URL into the Class Submission and submit.
